Since poor women have no collateral, they cannot qualify for traditional bank loans. By providing destitute mothers with a micro-credit loan in the amount of $50 to $100 through CO-OP groups, they can be empowered to start a business and therefore generate a new source of income for themselves and their families. This project looks to help hundreds of women in Nepal to take control of their lives, improve their family’s standard of living and provide what every mother wants for her children — hope for a brighter future.
